Co-Presidents

Alyssa Schoonmaker

Alyssa is a three-year upper from Hong Kong. On campus, Alyssa is a prefect in Double Brick House, the co-head of the Chinese Language Club, and on the Philomathean Society and Launchpad board! Alyssa has been passionate about finance since she was young, learning from her mother. In her free time, she often listens to music, reads, or hangs out downtown.

Sophia Tabibian

Sophia is an 11th grader at Phillips Academy from San Francisco, California. On campus, she leads Launchpad, a startup and nonprofit incubator for high schoolers. Sophia is particularly interested in renewable energy, nuclear fusion, and agentic tech. Through WIF, she hopes to show members how understanding finance is key to driving innovation and change.

Curriculum Coordinators

Tasha Bohorad

Tasha is an 11th grader at Andover from Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania. She joined WIF to learn more about business and economics in a comfortable space and push herself to explore the intersection and application of finance with her other interests. At Andover, she is an admissions tour guide, dorm prefect, event coordinator, and loves her Spanish Literature class. She is also on Varsity Cross Country, Wrestling, and Track and Field. 

Pia Chhabra

Pia Chhabra is currently a Junior (9th Grade, class of 2028) at Phillips Academy Andover.  She is a boarding student from Newton, MA, and lives in Nathan Hale. Pia loves math and has been passionate about Finance since a young age learning about stock markets from her mom. She joined Women in Finance to deepen her industry knowledge and contribute by sharing what she has learned.  On campus, she enjoys participating in various clubs, playing piano, rowing, studying in the library, and hanging out with her friends. 

Lena Ciganer-Albeniz

Lena Ciganer-Albeniz is a 4-year senior from Tokyo, Japan. On campus, she is a 2 year-captain of the Varsity Tennis Team and a leader in the PASC and Wings Initiative. Lena joined WIF because of her interest in the business world and to be able to meet other girls on campus with a similar mindset! In her free time, she loves listening to music and watching sports. Lena's super excited to be a part of the WIF board!

Mercan Draman

Mercan is a two year upper from Seattle, WA who currently lives in Istanbul, Turkey. This year, she's stacking in Stowe, and on campus she is on the board of Andover Business Club, a Social Media Ambassador, a SWANA member, and plays on the Girls Varsity A Tennis Team. After interning at a venture capital firm in Istanbul this summer, she realized how rare it is to find women in leadership roles in finance. So, she hopes that WIF can inspire girls to believe in themselves and break this norm. 

Hannah Jung

Hannah Jung currently attends Phillips Academy as a ninth grader from Houston, Texas. She joined Women in Finance with no prior experience but hopes to learn and understand more about this area. On campus, Hannah trains diligently to competitively jump rope at the national level and also runs on the Phillips Academy cross-country team as a varsity runner.  When she isn't running or jump roping, Hannah can be spotted frequenting the practice rooms in the basement of Cochran Chapel as an enthusiastic guzheng, or Chinese harp, and piano player for seven years now. 

Sarolta Vegso

Sarolta is a new international senior from Budapest, Hungary. She's thrilled to join the WIF team because she believes finance is a topic that impacts everyone’s life, and financial literacy is essential for leading a mindful life. On campus, Sarolta illustrates for The Phillipian—drawing is one of her greatest passions. She has been playing the recorder for 13 years, which has given her a close relationship with music. Here at Andover, Sarolta's also part of a chamber music group. Additionally, she's working on publishing a research paper on venture capital.

Sophia Zhan

Sophia is a junior from Atlanta, Georgia, who is a painter, debater, dancer, math competitor, and programmer on campus. She is passionate about exploring contemporary economic issues and reads the news in her free time. With a background in DECA competitions in Accounting and Finance from middle school, Sophia is eager to pursue her studies in finance through WIF at Andover. She hopes to inspire other girls on campus by sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for finance while also enhancing her own financial analysis skills.

Publicity Ambassadors

Kalista Kuemmerle

Kalista Kuemmerle is a 9th grader at Phillips Academy, originally from Newton, Massachusetts. She joined Women in Finance (WIF) to explore her interest in financial literacy and empowerment in a male-dominated field, as well as to gain a deeper understanding of finance. On campus, Kalista is involved in Book Club, Lacrosse, Writers Alliance, and enjoys spending time crocheting, reading, in her free time. She is excited to connect with new peers in WIF and continue learning about the finance world.

Anna Lu

Anna is a lower from Iowa. On campus, she lives in Nathan Hale and is involved in math club, chamber, and computer science club. She joined WIF to not only learn more about the finance industry but also to be a part of an awesome community of aspiring female finance leaders. When not studying, Anna enjoys reading, crocheting, and hiking. Anna is super excited to have the opportunity to be a Publicity Ambassador for WIF this year!

Amelie Piergentilli

This year, Amelie joined Andover as a New Upper student. She’s from Verona, Italy, but she used to attend an international school in London. Amelie joined WIF because she’s passionate about learning more about finance and is excited to connect with other women who share her interests. On campus, she plays tennis and is involved in APU.

Charlotte Tang

Charlotte Tang is a Lower from Dallas, Texas, who joined Women in Finance (WIF) to explore her interest in finance and encourage other young women to get involved. On campus, she participates in Model UN and helps with Catholic Mass while also pursuing her passions for fashion, writing, and DJing.

Julia Xu

Julia is a freshman and local boarder from Lexington, MA. She was introduced to finance at a young age by her family and is particularly interested in investing and startups. She joined WIF to connect with peers who share similar interests, and this term she's excited to learn more about finance through the guest speaker series. On campus at Andover, she is also involved in dance, nordic skiing, and other clubs such as Launchpad and Women in STEM.
